I looked at our trash people’s website and it said our pick up would be delayed one day because of Memorial Day.

So, my Neighbor, who is rarely home, started cleaning out her garage and wanted to use some of our trash bins. We have three and wasn’t planning on using two of them this week so I took the empty ones over to her house and used my John Deere to pull her full ones up to the road.

I got up Tuesday morning and saw that her bins had been emptied but they weren’t supposed to come until Wednesday! None of my bins got emptied but now all three were full.

So I called Republic (the trash people) and asked why they came on the regular day when the website said they were going to be delayed. The lady looked up our address and said, “They’re going to come tomorrow.”

After a pause on the phone I asked, why would they come two days in a row? Especially on a holiday week when they are already behind schedule? She said, “Sometimes they do.”

Sure enough, they came again today, the second day in a row and got our remaining trash. How inefficient!

If your invoice isn't adjusted, you inquiry may not have been noted.

Hopefully your trash will get picked up.

Today my guts hated me so I spent most of the morning in the bathroom or running back and forth from my bed to the bathroom until the Pepto finally kicked in. Started to get to sleep when Mom woke me up wanting breakfast. I was able to make her some eggs and toast before lying back down again. Then I got up and put water in a bucket to be able to flush her toilet. I'm going to need to deep clean that thing when the water is fixed.

Truck was saying 0% oil life so I took it in to get an oil change-- provided my own oil and filter. Local tire place did it and fixed one of my tires for free. Something about a valve stem and they refused to charge for replacing it.

Still feeling cruddy so I'm going to rest more.

Does anyone have an idea what these are for? I found them in my desk and I can’t remember what they are.

Edit: Just noticed that this had been answered already.
Generally, you can always do a Google image search to find what something might be. You give it the image and will find related things, together with the necessary description of what it is. Or, these days, you could also ask ChatGPT if you have access to it.

Gotta heal your guts. You know I have that answer. In my next reply, I can type it up.

Once you heal your Leaky Gut, you heal your Leaky Gall Bladder, Leaky Liver, Leaky Heart, Leaky Kidneys, Leaky Brain etc. automatically.

It takes probably 2 weeks max.

I think you should have a @Spicoli43 thread of all your interesting health stuff.

I haven't done much of anything today. It's my first day off. Went to the Dr. This morning only to find out she is leaving the area. Great..... now I have to find a new Dr. I prefer a D.O. I really don't want a NP, I know that seems silly since I am a nurse but for whatever reason, my brain just doesn't want that.
I tried to start the riding lawnmower again..... nothing, commented on the post about that. I may see if I can go get my sons push mower, although I can't use it. My other son will have too.

Are mail order husband's a thing? Like I order him, he helps me do things that I need completed.... he gets a greencard? Then goes on his merry way? Lol 😆🤣😂

I'm kidding.... I Think

Push mower, reminiscent of the 40's & 50's.

Church groups, generally, have folks who'll stop by.

Not to be confused tho, with church's bar & grill.

Power went out last night. I kvetched to Havasu about it (when I was able to get cell signal).

Went into town for breakfast at McDonalds but their manager canceled all the breakfast orders and had to order lunch and it took about 30min and I was pissed. My food was cold when I finally got it the manager made them swap out one of my double sandwiches for a single (didn't realize what she was doing until I got home and found out -- and I could only make phonecalls outside and didn't want to go back out in the thunderstorm).

Tornado touched down west of my area. Tree fell on the car port my friend's ex's car was parked under. Car port fell on the car but it only has dents and still runs. She's got tooth infections and is in a lot of tooth pain right now. She's been keeping me up to date on stuff-- she's about to give birth to her 3rd kid. Not sure who the father is this time.

Grabbed stuff at the hardware store to prep for fixing up the electric and plumbing to get the jet pump running again and for cleaning bad gas out of the generator to try to get it running again just in case. Friend is taking the day off work tomorrow to come help and make sure we can at least plug in fridge and freezer during power outage. As much as I like using my computer and having AC, I got battery powered fans and can live without using the PC while power is out-- and can take laptops over to friend's house.

Got some stuff unloaded at the workshop, other stuff hauled into the house, and got all the plumbing and electrical stuff either at the shed or in bins in the truck. Only thing that will need to be brought out from the house is the pump. That sob weighs 50lbs. I was drenched with sweat and having trouble lifting stuff.

Helped Mom detangle her hair. She had a massive knot in her hair from when she was in the hospital and she wouldn't let me touch it for a long time. Got some detangler spray and a comb. Fippy was angry at me for standing near her chair so I got her to let him sit on her lap so he'd shut his piehole and stop growling.

Currently resting with AC on, fans blowing on me, and Ginger on my lap.

I think you said Monday was the day to get the water pump fixed? I’d be getting a generator like yesterday if I was you.

Ron, Plans changed. Friend called and said he wanted to come out sooner. We do have a generator but it hasn't been run in years and we need to get it running again.

Got up very early this morning and went to grab breakfast, but didn't get to eat it. Got my friend and we hit the hardware store for some things. Worked on things from around 7 something to afternoon when my friend felt lightheaded. I kept encouraging him to take a break and cool off. Turns out its his daughter's birthday. I got him back home and then went up to look for stuff at Lowes and HomeDepot. Found some fittings but realized after I got back that I forgot a crucial fitting. Ugh. Hardware store is closed tomorrow so I'd have to drive an hour to get to those stores. Also picked up some new pants for my friend bc all of his have holes in them and I got a birthday present for his daughter.

Got back home with my back aching close to 6pm. As soon as I walked through the door Mom said "I'm huuuuungrryyyyyy" so I had to get her something to eat before I could re-heat my pancakes to eat.

I'm currently resting and about to take a nap. I'm also trying to figure out if there is a way to change the plan to not use that one fitting that I forgot to get. Or we could wait until Monday to work on that part.

Got up early and went to pick my friend up and had breakfast in the truck. Got him back to the house and discovered that the sharkbite fittings I'd planned to us are only for pex to pex and not for pvc to pex so they wouldn't work. Had to figure out a work around and skip the 1" PEX. Had to go to the hardware store bc I couldn't find any of my reducing fittings (I found them AFTER we finished up of course).

Decided that it would be better to run the conduit through the middle of the I-beams instead of trying to run along side and use more conduit and wire. I had 25ft of conduit and 50ft of wire but I managed to run out somehow. Will get more conduit and only need 12awg wire instead of 10 for the last bit. Prioritized doing the cables for the pumps and didn't connect the outlet box. Had to make a 2nd trip to hardware store for some tools and stuff for electrical. Popped in to Tractor Supply too.

Got the belt-driven pump cranked up to fill the cistern but it was slooooooow (well, the water filling was slow). Then friend noticed that there was a big leak right where the pipes go into the cistern. The only way to replace that would be to have someone climb inside the cistern. We cleared the top of the cistern off but couldn't figure out how to disconnect the pipe that fills the cistern from the lid to be able to remove the lid or move it enough for someone to squeeze in.

I had some Flex Shot spray (flex seal family of products) and had my friend spray the begeezus out of the connection until it reduced the leaking enough to let the cistern fill. Will go back and spray it again later. Glad that worked. The jet pump worked and I was able to flush toilets and fill the water for the cats-- although, I may need to go get a bigger water filter for the kitchen or something to get them some cleaner water. That water is nasty looking.

Friend ordered food from a place for me to pick up. I dropped him off, grabbed him some groceries from Walmart, picked up the food from the place in town, and dropped it off. We're both exhausted.

So, now I need to get more conduit, some 12/2wg outdoor rated cable, some roof sealant stuff, and some sort of fan for the inside so it doesn't get so hot in there.

It looks so much nicer in there. I need to get more pics. It was too hot and I was drenched in sweat when we were done. Friend is tired but happy to have gotten the water running for us. And the monitor wall mount thing I got him arrived so his monitor is now mounted to the wall where there are no worries of his cat knocking it down.

Currently lying down with Yasuke by my side.

Oh, for the past few days my truck was making all sorts of weird squeaking noises but when my friend got in it wouldn't make the noises. Figures. LOL.

Z, you should never mix 10 and 12 gauge wire. Keep it the same and add a junction box where you are splicing it.

Our grandkids from California are visiting this week. We picked them up from Nashville on Friday morning at 6am. We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe Thursday night and then spent the night in Nashville so we wouldn’t have to get up so early on Friday morning.

Anyway, one kid is sleeping on a day bed in my MIL’s side of the house. Another kid is sleeping in the spare bedroom and the third kid is in the pool house. We have to separate them otherwise no one would get any sleep.

The first night, the kid in the pool house reported that AFTER his shower, there was a lot of water on the floor. Sure enough, the CPVC pipe going from the shower valve to the shower head had a split along the entire length of the pipe and water was pouring out the entire time the shower was on.

The other weird thing was it appears to have a hose fitting connected to the flanged 90.

IMG_8130.jpeg

Anyway, I had enough PEX fittings on hand to replace everything from the valve to the shower arm including the flanged 90. There is good access to the back of the shower so it all worked out.

IMG_8127.jpeg

I’m sure this was a result of the deep freeze we had in January. We had a power failure prior to the freeze and the mini split didn’t reset properly leaving the pool house without heat. I found a broken sink sprayer right after the freeze and fixed it but didn’t notice the broken shower line.

Yes looks like that pipe had some serious internal pressure to crack the way it did.
