So.... here's most of them, still have 1 being shipped (I pray it doesn't get messed up during shipment) and I have to pick one up that they didn't have, on Sunday.

Should I put primer on these? Or just paint them? They are unfinished.

also, they all fit in my SUV including; 8 cabinets, 2 toe kicks, a 2x6x8 and an 84" end panel.

And another deal I got was $200 worth of wallpaper for $46.
It's a bit busy, but it will make the kitchen "look" more put together and keep me from complaining for a few years 😉.

Hopefully they all arrive undamaged. For the project source cabinets they need to be sanded a bit first and then I would recommend primer before paint. Sand in between coats of course.
Thank you as well. That's a cool site also. You'll be fine, but is your area prone to flooding?
Most of my yard is on high ground so none of the structures have ever flooded-- not even in the worst floods. But there are areas of town that are very prone to flooding. There's a two story building off LA10 that gets water up to the 2nd level. I still remember some girls who rode my bus having to come across from that place in a boat to get to the street.

Rupert took a bad turn last night and I haven't been able to sleep. I'm staying up with him holding him and will take him to the vet as soon as they open. He's being a sweetheart and has his head on my chest purring away, but I can tell he's feeling weak. He can't walk straight and he flops over on his right. He was doing better last night but has gotten progressively worse. I'm hoping its something that can be treated.

He made the mistake of stumbling past Fippy and the latter decided to be a colossal douchewaffle and attack him- TWICE.

My arrhythmia is acting up as well so that isn't helping.

Back from the vet. Poor Rupert has an ear infection and vertigo. He got antibiotics and ear mite treatment. Poor baby is not feeling well at all. Vet said it will take awhile for him to recover. I'm going to have to make sure he stays hydrated and that he eats. She trimmed his claws so he can't claw me as badly when I give him medicine. He did not like the ear ointment. He did eat last night so I'm hoping he'll get his appetite back. He's resting right now.

I'm so glad that it wasn't anything more serious!

Me too. thought we were going to lose him. He's still really out of it right now. Can't even sit up. Doesn't even open his eyes, but he swallows when I give him water via syringe. I'm careful to do it slowly. I'll probably grab some off brand flavorless pedialyte. Hoping I can interest him in food later. He has barely moved since getting back from the vet's office. Hasn't purred either though. His tongue keeps hanging out of his mouth-- he doesn't have teeth to hold it in. Poor baby is very weak.

He's got his arm under the cardigan now and he just curled up a bit more. I'll have to see if I can interest him in some food in a bit. Might have to go get him some of the puree stuff from the store later-- along with the pedialyte.

On the hurricane front, it is now Cat2 but it has veered more eastward. The birds have stayed and I've been hearing them squawking outside. If the birds left it would be a sign that the storm was coming this way. A flock of guinea fowl ran into the road when I was on my way home. Had to dodge the one that was out front. They are not the smartest birds.

Thanks. Unless it veers west we should be safe. It's raining but not so bad.

Poor Rupert is really feeling awful. I went to the store to get some stuff for him and when I came back he was crying. He kept trying to get up and walk, but he sort of crawls and keeps falling over and drags himself and is not happy about it. I'm holding him right now. Going to give him some pedialyte via syringe and then see if I can get him to eat anything. My brother got him to purr earlier so that was an improvement. Poor baby doesn't understand why he can't walk and I imagine his inner ears hurt.

Gotta Mouse in the garage, at least 1... Does that mean there are 10? It's a tiny little thing, so I feel bad taking it out, but it (they) are eating the weatherstripping on the bottom of the garage entry door... I know my 2 Cats have never seen a real Mouse though, so I am wondering how that will go. Obviously they will Hunt, but I have never seen that happen.

Never had a Mouse, the neighborhood Cats are efficient...

We have a lot of mice here. Tiny ones. We also have 3 cats and two kittens. The cats seem to like birds better than mice. Ruby has three live mouse traps she put in strategic locations then we release the mice near the boat ramp. Ruby slacked off on the mouse program and by the time she noticed we had a mouse, there were actually 10! We caught 10 in a week period but now they’re gone and we’re back to the maintenance/monitoring program.

Francine has brought rain to us. The forecast is becoming less and less intense as time goes on. It seems, Francine is petering out. We’re still forecast to have flooding and 15-20 mph wind with 35mph gusts. The rain is supposed to last through Saturday. It’s not bad so far and we need the rain.

Ron, the window sill looks great!

Spicoli, I think mice are cute and I feel bad about hurting/killing them but they are so destructive. Some of my cats ignore mice, but Itsy and a few others will go after them. Rupert tried to go after mice but his lack of teeth made it difficult. The dog Princess actually chases mice.

Last night I used a syringe to give Rupert some puree and pedialyte. He didn't seem to like the puree and none of the other cats wanted it. Afterward I realized it didn't smell very good. I think it may have been a bad packet. If the cats hate the flavor I'll see if I can take it back and exchange it for a different flavor.

Got all of the kitties their last dose of deworming meds and they were not happy about it. Also been working on the policy of keeping them off specific counters. Since they are used to sitting there I'm being gentle when removing them. The kitties have forgiven me already and Boo is in my brother's room since staying in there is his new obsession.

My brother cooked steak for Mom last night (per her request) and I cut it up for her. She can cut her own steak up but she likes it if I cut it up for her. Bro also made more chuck roast in the pressure cooker with Japanese spices again and its very good. This time the meat could break apart with a spoon.

Rupert is still very weak and can't stand up. He did hold his head up a bit more after getting pedialyte but then he really racked out. I put a puppy pad under him in case he has to pee or poop. I've also been flipping him over so one side won't get too sore. He woke me up by crying out around 6am so I gave him more pedialyte and petted him. He felt like he had a fever before that. He started making a sound in his sleep-- not quite a moan but a soft noise. So I picked him up and laid him over my abdomen and chest (I'm leaning back in a partial sitting position). He cooled off and after I moved his back legs around a little and rubbed them he started purring.

He's slipped so that part of him is sort of next to me with his back legs and front legs still on me and his head is in the crook of my arm. He's sleeping and his tongue is hanging out. He's almost due for his daily dose of oral meds. I'll give him a little pedialyte to help wash it down and then see if I can get him interested in food. If not, I'll give him some puree via syringe. I might mix it with pedialyte to make it a bit easier to go down. I had to do something similar with ******** and Ginger when they were sick.

The storm veered way east. My friends in Kenner got hit but reported that they didn't even lose power.

Thanks, got a couple of humane traps... I suspect after releasing a few, I will have more neighborhood cats hanging around.

You know I'm surprised by the interest in the humanity for mice here. I live in a woods and have lived in the country my whole life and mice in the house, or garage, we're destine for extermination. I keeps traps out almost all the time, JIC. I catch one now and then. I have a cat that helps. But my traps at the regular old Victor snap trap. A dab of peanut butter and wacky, dead, there's no release out by the pond.

I'm not a mouse fan. They are cute but they are also disgusting and destructive..they can live entirely outside of my house and we can be friends. The moment they enter, I'm setting them up for an end of life experience. I have cleaned up after, smelled and seen entirely too many mice in the past 5 or so years. So, if they want to live, the better visit someone else lol

@zannej Have you tried giving him some mashed up tuna? It may be more enticing to him currently. Even some kitten replacer, or goats milk (canned) may do the trick.

Well, Kittens are cute too, and they grow into Terrorists.

I'll Kill Black Widows and Brown Recluse... Other than that, not much. If there was 20 Mice running around my garage and I didn't have Cats, I would borrow a Neighbor's for a while.

Right, outside I won't go out of the way to hurt a critter. We have a lot of them, living in 20 acres of woods, raccoons, mink, deer, squirrels up the wazzo, opossum, fox, coyote, and on and on. Chipmunks, woodchucks, well I could do without them. They dig under stuff and can cause problems. Not too merciful on them. We have a lot of them. I just never thought of live catching a mouse, in the house, and letting it go. My wife is a major softy but when it's in the house.....well. But to each their own I get it. Most of my neighbors will shoot about anything. I try to fit in.

I probably wouldn’t go for the catch and release program but I do it for Ruby. On matters that I don’t have a strong opinion on, I give in to her and save my strength for things I really care about. One thing to remember though is mice can travel pretty far. You have to release them far enough away that they won’t find their way back. We take them to the boat ramp which is across a causeway from our house. The mice would have to swim or cross a causeway to get back.
