I'm going to get a new door in the Summer, but in the meantime, the trim where it frosted is peeling away. It will defrost when it isn't -40. It's forecasted to be around 70 degrees warmer next Thursday.
It'll be snowing, for you, tonight though.

The other night when I couldn't sleep, I stumbled on a show called "Towing Wars".

Really? Drama about towing cars? Just grab the thing and go already!
That show is completely fake. They pay people to pretend to be towers and towees. If it was real then the towers would be in jail because the stuff they show them doing is completely illegal. Like ripping keys from people's hands, dragging them out of vehicles, threatening people with violence, trespassing in locked yards or garages, etc.

It's been raining nonstop here.
I really need to get some sweet feed and hay for the cows. There is some green grass at least now.

Got up and fed the cats. Boo kept hollering at me over and over until I picked him up and held him for a few minutes.

Well, that sucks it was cancelled and I had never heard of it. HAHA... I don't get why they would have people yelling, and I agree if people do that anywhere they get 86'd.
It's interesting that the few moments that I could stomach watching that Hardcore Pawn show, the people who were yelling and threatening & making themselves look stupid were black. The peaceful and oh-so polite owners are white. Just sayin'

Over the years I've been in there a few times to buy back my stolen tools. There is a WHOLE lot more bullet proof glass than is seen on TV- which is exactly none. And the workers' guns are quite prominently displayed- but not on TV.

I noticed it recently on Roku's channel guide list if you have that available. But be warned- You'll last no more than 3 minutes. And, yes, it is quite racist.

Roku wants to charge me $1.99 per episode on Apple or Prime, so I guess I'm just out of luck!

The local DA doesn't crack down on Pawn Shops selling stolen loot?

In some jurisdictions pawn brokers are restricted from marketing Items for a statutory time, in the event that those Item may show up in a law enforcement inquiry.

That is the case in CA.

Of which, having been subject to pilferage, I'm familiar.

I'm sure there would be a mountain collapse if they tried cutting Trump's Pompadour hairstyle into Mt. Rushmore.

Enjoying my day off between my work days this week. I had to go pick up my pups prescription so I decided to do spark for a little bit. I was being ridiculously picky and was about to just give up until his rx was ready when lo and behold one of my neighbors placed an order so I accepted that one, did the shop and the dropped it off across the street and backed into my driveway...... lol, so I made $34 picking up the dogs rx. If I had gone out much earlier, I probably could have cleared $200 easily at another store about 10 miles away, they were having tons and tons of orders pop up. There was an incentive for that store also, I believe.
We are having flooding issues, some flood gates in the area have been put up. It's been raining for 2 solid days. Supposed to snow Wednesday I guess which sucks because I work a 16 hour day that day. Work for 7.5 hours and then a class for 8.5 hours. We are changing computer systems the first if the month. That should be interesting.
Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

I'm reading a new book. I'm only on chapter 2, but so far I am really enjoying it. It's not often that I find something that aligns with some of my thoughts of medical issues.

I caught up on season 14 of Death In Paradise. Watched Star Trek Beyond. Cut up chicken so my brother could make soup. The part he hates is cutting the chicken and it seems to be the hardest part. So I cut it up and then he adds seasoning, swanson broth, and veggies and then turns the pressure cooker on.
He's currently shouting at his computer. I'm guessing something is lagging or going wrong.

I started trying to play the game Nightingale but it crashed 2x and then the 3rd time it crashed my entire computer. BSOD and then forced a reboot twice. So, I'm not going to be playing that one again. It was a neat game though.

Trying to come up with a plan to clean up Mom's desk and get rid of the roaches. It is pretty much roach central and she doesn't want me touching anything. So I'm going to get gloves & masks and have her sit down and approve of anything getting thrown out and relocating other stuff so I can deep clean her desk and cover it with roach tablets. We've greatly reduced the roaches in the kitchen with cleaning + roach tablets.

The local DA doesn't crack down on Pawn Shops selling stolen loot?
I noticed the pawn show is on a network called "Quest". Here it's an over-the-air channel.

The police, the DA, the anybody doesn't care about stolen stuff being sold in pawn shops or flea markets. Pursuing that would involve work on their parts. Any work is shunned. It was like that way back in the 70's and 80's when I was on the police department.

About a year ago, a friend had her free youth center, that she built and ran with her savings & retirement money, fire bombed because someone hired a torch in order to gain the property for another blind pig. The bad guy is on tape yanking down the armor guard with a truck and throwing 6 cocktails in the building. Everyone in the neighborhood knows him. He's a pro arsonist. Everyone knows the guy who hired him.

Any action by law enforcement? Nope. Not a bit. I saw the bad guy and the person who hired him not a week ago free as a bird. To arrest and prosecute him would involve work. Sadly, it broke the woman's heart and she died. She did so much for the kids in the community and now they lose out.

For tools, usually there isn't too much of an argument about getting your stuff back at pawn shops. Flea markets are grab-and-go. I've done and just tell the person that I'm taking my stuff back. They don't argue. Bullets fly easily & no one wants to get shot over used tools.

Not too long ago I left a building just in time to see two guys pulling spools of power cables out of the bed of my truck while the security guard who was supposed to be watching was ignoring them. They walked across the highway with the spools over their shoulders and straight into a pawn shop. I finished bringing what was left of the cables into the building and went to the pawn shop. No argument and the guy had 2 of his people carry the stuff back to the project site.

Years ago when I was on the police department my car got looted while parked in front of the neighborhood produce store that I was shopping in. Two doors down was a used merchandise store.

I saw my radio, my dashboard, my instrument cluster and my spare tire at the counter. While retrieving them, the owner pulled a gun on me. What a surprise he got when I badged him. "Oh I'm sorry sir." "This never happens here, sir" "They had receipts sir." Blah, blah, blah. I even got my neighbor's kid's bike back.

I was like a pit bull on the head of the retail squad at work until finally the store got shut down. It was loaded with serialized merchandise on the stolen stuff list. Just loaded. Prosecution? Yeah, sure...

Life in the city, I guess.

That's crazy what happens in Cities, and it's much worse now with Soros funded DA's not busting anybody for anything. I assume Detroit is like that. If someone gets in trouble here, they are going to Jail, period. There's theft and drugs like everywhere else, but people don't generally have stereo equipment or anything valuable sitting in their cars. It's been Months since I heard someone's stereo system.

Everybody is allowed to be Armed to the Teeth here though, and everybody knows everybody else is, so it's a polite society. People can't drive at all, but I haven't even seen a fist fight in 14 Years here, but I don't go to Bars or hang out on the "other side of the tracks"..

I filled a Glass full of Boiling water for Burdock Root Tea, and the Glass didn't like that, so it popped itself in Half. I was moving it to about where the replacement is in the picture and it just happened.

The edges on both sides are smooth. The Glass didn't crack a bit. I will never get rid of it.

So.... Explain THAT!
