Naw. There's no room on his bed. Stuff is already piled up. But I figure if he isn't tripping over bottles he has less to complain about-- and I was waiting for Mom to get motivated.
Ok, but if I was 13 and my Big Sister was cleaning up after me like she was a Maid, I would never do anything either.

Why should I do anything? It's all been taken care of for me since the day I was born, don't want to mess with that pattern!

Yeah…it didn’t want black at first, but it grew on me. Ruby decided she wanted it white again, so it’s white now. Do you know how hard it is to paint gloss black, white? I told Ruby that’s it….white forever now!
Ah yes, another wise member of the happy wife, happy wife club. Looks like you have a great place.

Happy Easter everyone...

I can't believe how big those mirrors are, Ron... That would creep me out if I had to walk by them every day. I would wager that the people had lots of pictures of themselves all over the house and lots of trophies also, whether earned or bought at a thrift store... I would also wager that they tried every avenue to get that huge mirror out of there and couldn't.

They were an inexpensive method of making a space, appear to be larger, than it actually was.

I was sick all day yesterday-- as was my brother. Mom wasn't feeling well either. At least I wasn't throwing up like my brother was.

Spicoli, I cleaned up so he wouldn't have the excuse of tripping over bottles to not get up. At least he did think me this time.

Today I worked a little more on my lightsaber build and I put up a shelf in my bathroom. Talked to my sister online a bit and will call her later. It's her birthday.

EtA: this establishment opened 3 months ago, apparently doesn't serve ketchup and runs the establishment weirdly ... from posts I have read about it from patrons and employees. I have never eaten there, I don't eat out a lot. Other businesses there have failed. It used to be a Highway 55 restaurant.

So..... hope everyone is safe if you're near these weird tornado warning/watch areas like I am.....

Also..... in other news in my area, if you really wanna get a kick out of something dumb....

Watch that..... if that's not enough, try this

And then..... center stage for both of those.... is this....

Remember Randy Moss? Professional FB player... he owns the restaurant.

We just got a Hwy55 in Guntersville about a year ago. Haven't ate there yet.

We were getting warnings for two days in advance for this storm. The schools let the kids out early but the storm kinda split and went around Lake Guntersville (like it normally does). We had heavy rain and some thunder from 9p to 10p and then that was it. Any damage up in your area?

Hope all is good for you Tornado people... I say NO THANKS... I prefer the Earthquake that you can't stress about for 5 days.

Don't have Fascistbook, so can't see anything you posted, but of course I remember Randy Moss... I haven't heard anything about him in a long time, so all I remember is him being a selfish kid the whole time he was a player... "I play when I wanna play."

So, there are still many without electricity in the area. F1 touched down from what I have heard. I was spared, but we lost a volunteer fire dept, roof off part of a school, damage to many buildings, a semi on its side on the bridge, several interstate signs and the poles that hold them down have fallen. Just what I can think of cloest to me. There are a lot of people stranded in their homes/neighborhoods.

Multiple mobile homes flipped or ripped apart also.

Here are a few pics

Wow! Thank God you’re okay!

I agree with you totally! 43 years in California and now Alabama. Tornadoes torture you for hours and hours whereas an earthquake comes and goes. After an earthquake, people look around and say,” Did we have an earthquake?”

The biggest earthquake I experienced was the Loma Prieta Quake in 1989 that took out the bay bridge between Oakland and SFO. Some water splashed out of our pool but that was it at my house.

Thank God you're okay, Shan... Prayers for your community to rebuild.

Ron, yes... And Hurricanes that people know about for days. That's just insanity, this Giant beast that will probably be here in a few days... I don't know how people sleep.

I have been through several Earthquakes, biggest was probably in Seattle in 2001, but that was with tall buildings as opposed to Montana where the fields shake! In the Seattle one, I looked up and saw the Skyscrapers moving back and forth and the Cable car lines bouncing like kids on a trampoline. Everybody poured out of the buildings like Ants into the streets.

Most people don't know there are several small ones in the US every day.

I remember your 89 Quake, I was a SF Fan watching the World Series.

The first quake I remember was the Sylmar earthquake in 1971. I was a sophomore in high school back then. Although my house was in Hacienda Heights, 50 miles from Sylmar, this hit my house so bad that I fell out of bed and crashed onto an antique phonograph next to the bed. I looked out and saw our pool swirling out water, which was on the next level above my bedroom. I thought for sure that the pool would break, and flood me inside my bedroom.

We cut school and drove out to Sylmar to look at the damage. We drove past the hospital that collapsed, and couldn't believe how that could happen. I also remember a cop on a motorcycle, who was driving on a 100' overpass, fell to his death when the overpass fell over.

Yes, I was also watching the world series during that earthquake in 1989. I was the K-9 officer then, and had a take home car. My department called everyone and ordered us to pull our cars from the garage and immediately come to work. Of course, not much damage in our city since we were 450 miles away, but since we live and worked near the San Andreas Fault line, we thought this would be the precursor to the "big one!"

I was in the LA/OC basin from 59 to 16 and what I found interesting, was the directional damage to structures, as exampled by the difference between the SYLMAR & the WHITTIER NARROWS.

There have also been huge improvements to our building code since those earthquakes. Sylmar was more of a N/S fault line quake, but the Whittier Narrows is an E/W fault line, right?

As I recall, and may be combining several memories, the SYLMAR cause damage felt as far east as SAN DIMAS, and as far south as PV, but with little corresponding levels in TORRANCE, or in-land communities.

While the WHITTIERS NARROWS was felt along the SAN GABRIELS, PICO RIVERA had a lot of north/south damage, but little east/west, and it also cause damage as far south as SEAL BEACH.

Part of my job was Investigations, for occupancy/sustainability. The MISSION SAN GABRIEL sorry site.
