I bought a fuel caddy today. The fuel hole in the pontoon won’t allow a funnel or fuel can spout. The caddy works well and has a hose with a gas station style trigger on it but I’m going to have to build a platform for it to get it higher for more pressure.

The tank in the pontoon is 26” x 18” x 13” high so I figure it’s a 25 gallon tank.

I could get gas at the marina but they charge $2/gal more just for the heck of it.

A non-reinforced 4' x 4' sidewalk slab of concrete weighs around 700 lbs. A solid slab of concrete weighs 4,050 lbs per cubic yard, while broken-up concrete weighs about half that, or 2,025 lbs per cubic yard.

Any legal issues fueling you boat on the water? I know some places it's illegal to fuel a boat on the water except at an approved fuel dock.

My new microwave:

When the water is working again I will clean the counter better. You can't see it, but I covered all the vent holes on the exterior of the microwave with dust screen to keep the roaches out.

Found a light I want to get for the kitchen. Hardwired damp rated LED strip to replace the old fluorescent light that died. I can rig up a remote switch for it (which I already purchased) and put it in within reach (but out of reach of cats) to turn it on and off so I can see what I'm doing when I'm washing dishes.

I can’t find much on the topic. I just took the Alabama boaters certification course and there was no mention of refueling from portable containers. Some posts have indicated that marinas sometimes don’t allow it, apparently citing safety issues if your boat catches on fire it could burn multiple boats whereas if you aren’t at a marina…that’s not an issue.

Some states prohibit refueling portable containers while in a boat but that’s not my case.

Went to the post office this morning and got the last of my truck parts to fix it. Grabbed food for Mom and went home. Was going to bring truck over to friend's to have it worked on when he got home from work but thunderstorms hit. Tree fell on the powerlines and took my power out. I had to take Gravy Jones to the vet because his eye looked bad. Turns out its just an abscess above the eye that is draining in to the eye. So, it's probably very uncomfortable for him, but won't harm the eye. He was given antibiotics. Vet said if it doesn't get better and she has to lance it, she'll neuter him while he's sedated.

Have to wait until Thursday to get the truck worked on bc it shouldn't be raining then. Have to wait until Monday to get the pump worked on bc it hasn't arrived and we need a good sunny day when my friend doesn't have a lot of stuff to do. It's one of his days off. He's only off sundays and mondays but its supposed to rain on Sunday.

UPS just dropped the package on my porch-- loudly enough that I heard a *thunk*. Box says FRAGILE. Hope nothing was damaged but its too dark to see.

So now you have no power or water? Geez…that’s enough to make me say a bad word!

I had set the self-leveling cement and this weekend I finished laying up the underlayment in my long-standing bathroom renovation. At least not I have a clean, level floor on which to set the flooring (almost surely vinyl plank)after I refinish the vanity.

To me, the only bad phrase is G__ D___, that which I won't say ever. I don't place any credence in the opinion of Man what shall and what shall not be a "bad word". Although the Bible has several verses about foul language, it doesn't say which words are foul besides the big one.

In my opinion, accepting ANY decision that Man makes is going toward being PC, which as everyone knows is not a quality of mine. I'm not going to commit crimes because I agree with Man's decision that they are crimes, but I also won't filter my mouth unless I'm around kids or old ladies.

That said, I don't walk around swearing for no reason, it doesn't do anything to improve anything.

Ron, the power is back on but still no water. But, when the power goes out, so does the water because our well depends on electricity to pump the water. The water heater holds some excess and we can get a little water to come out of the hot side tap when the power first goes out.

Seeing tornado warnings for the southern part of the state near Cameron area. Glad I'm north of that. Suposed to be clear weather until 7pm so friend said to bring the truck over to get worked on. Need to get some jack stands and should be good to go. Hopefully. I should head out now and get an undercarriage wash on the truck.

I walk around swearing just for the fun of it. Not in front of my mother though.
