What part of the water drain line does this connect to? For the basement bathroom

What's immediately above the PVC? The angle drain looks like a sanitary tee merging a sink or other drain into a soil pipe that goes into whatever is wrapped. The cap is the soil pipe cleanout.

Is it the top angle drain thing on the pvc or the cap about half way down.

We don't see a bathroom, so, is the bathroom, above, the photo, or are you planning for a new bathroom, at a floor level below the lowest point depicted in the photo.

The reason we often encourage photos to be panoramic, is that we can better understand what posters are attempting, to depict.

This is the install

The PVC going up to the sanitary Y is the output from the pump/pit so the other one would be from the bath. However I don't understand the need for the pit and pump if the bath is on the level above all this. BTW I am not a plumber so I am just musing.

I am guessing there are plumbing fixtures in the basement that drain into the sanitary sump pit. the two pipe coming out of the pitt one is the discharge from the pitt and the other is the vent.

I think you nailed it!

The line with the valve is the discharge to the sanitary sewer. I can't tell, are you asking where the other line should hook into? If that is the question, you will need to find a vent line to tie into. In your pictures I cannot see whether that line is connected or if there is a vent line available to connect to.
